Just a quick post for some recent updates to our game library. We have added the following titles to our collection: Red Steel 2 (Wii), Conduit (Wii), inFAMOUS (PS3), and Just Cause 2 (360). As you've probably seen we're holding three tournaments for the month of April so make sure you get your teams together and register for the discounted price.
I also have some quick changes to the Team Fortress 2 tournament after reading a convincing forum post. First off I'm removing arena_watchtower from the map list after actually playing it for myself. The previous class limitation for medics has been removed, you may now have one of every class in your team except for engineers, which only make for stalemates. And finally I've expanded on the format a little more to give you an idea of how the tournament will function. Remember that we want these tournaments to be fair but we also want them to be fun.

Just a quick update to announce the newest additions to the Section 9 game library, the highly anticipated titles God of War 3 (PS3) and Final Fantasy XIII (PS3). Obviously two pretty big titles which are definitely worth checking out on the PlayStation 3.
I've also posted some details for our upcoming tournaments in April. We will be holding our monthly Brawl tournament in the beginning of the April on the 3rd. This time around it's being sponsored by VidCycle so the prizes will be mixed up a little. After that we will be holding a Team Fortress 2 tournament. Right now we've decided on a 3-vs-3 arena tournament with a double elimination bracket. There will be a limit of one of each class with no medics or engineers for balance sake. If you'd like to see another format for the tournament don't be afraid to share your input but this format seems the most fair and will also allow for more teams in the competition. And at the end of the month we're also considering a Battlefield Bad Company 2 Squad Deathmatch tournament but we're still working on the details for that.

There are a few games being released within this next week that the Section 9 staff is excited about, one of them being Battlefield Bad Company 2. We will be holding a special launch party for the release of Bad Company 2 on Friday, March 5th for all those who are excited about this title. The event will be held from open to close with $15.00 day passes along with door prizes and the possibility of a mini-tournament. Bad Company 2 will be available on March 2nd for all those who want to experience the release of this monolithic title.
We're also running a special event for the release of upcoming real time strategy game, Supreme Commander 2, which will be held from March 6th to March 19th. During this period we're offering a free hour of play for Supreme Commander 2. So make sure you also stop in and try this promising new title; what do you have to lose anyways?
Here are the new additions to our ever expanding game collection: Heavy Rain (PS3), Battlefield Bad Company 2 (PC released 3/2/10), Supreme Commander (PC released 3/6/10) Alien Vs. Predator (360), and FIFA 10(360).
We're still in the process of fine tuning how we manage and promote tournament but I'm happy to say that we have worked out a partnership with VidCylce for tournament prizes. We will resume tournament operations soon so don't miss your chance to suggest a tournament.
